Carbon Trust Standards

The Carbon Trust started as a way to show your business was reducing its carbon emissions, through audited data and processes.

That has now changed and The Carbon Trust looks at many areas of your business.

Still the original standard, looking over a 3 year period to show a clear auditable year on year reduction of the carbon emissions

Not just looking at reducing the amount of waste you create within your business but also how much of that is recycled.  The Hierarchy of Waste (see Waste Management pages) in action

A good CIBSE standard says you should use around 9,000 litres of water per person per year.  The Carbon Trust standard on water helps target, reduce and report on your water reductions

This standard helps you move beyond your Scope 1 and 2 emissions and look at your supply chain.  You can show how they are reducing their carbon emissions, thereby reducing the overall carbon footprint of your products
