One of the most important issues National Grid deals with is Frequency, ensuring it stays at 50Hz at all times.

• Turn Up. Take extra energy off the grid (Battery for instance)
• Turn Down (Reduce by closing production lines etc.)
• Turn Off (Bring onsite generation into play)
